Personal Benefits Eligibility Date
Your Personal Benefits Eligibility Date is the later of:
- April 1, 2002; and
- the day after the date you complete 180 days of continuous service as a Member of the Policyholder.
Dependent Benefits Eligibility Date
Your Dependent Benefits Eligibility Date is the later of your Personal Benefits Eligibility Date and the date you first acquire a Dependent.
Reciprocity
For a Member covered under the Massachusetts Public Employees Health and Welfare Fund (Public Employee Plan) who transfer from a position covered by the Public Employees Plan to a position covered by this Fund, no waiting period is required. For a Member covered by the Health and Welfare Plan of the BHE Non-Unit Health and Welfare Fund (Non-Unit Plan) who transfer from a position covered by the Non-Unit Plan to a position covered by this Fund, no waiting period is required.
